I’m Allyah—though most just call me Ally. I’m a Jewish Dutch-American home cook and baker, and I created this space to share something that has always grounded me: the joy of food.

They say bakers can’t cook and cooks can’t bake—but I like to think I’m the exception. Whether I’m rolling out dough or simmering a pot of something slow and soulful, the kitchen is where I feel most alive.

This website came to life with a loving nudge from friends, family, and—if I’m honest—life itself. Like many of us, I carry a story that’s equal parts sweet and sour. Through it all, baking and my faith have remained my constants: steady, comforting, and quietly powerful.
